THE WELL-ARMED
WARRIOR: PART 5 OF 5
As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let the lord speak, for you
have strengthened me.”
Daniel 10:19
Part 1 – Intensely focused spiritual pursuit
Part 2 – A vision of Christ exalted
Part 3 – An awareness of heavenly warfare
Part 4 – Admission of human weakness
Jesus said, “You can do nothing without Me” (John 15:5), but most Christians
try anyway, and the result is a lot of frustration and wasted energy.
Daniel’s experience proves what every faithful follower of Jesus has
learned: when we come to the end of our strength, we discover the beginning
of God’s.
The fifth quality is a reception of divine power. A well-armed Christian
warrior knows that when we reach up in faith, God reaches down in power.
Unless our works are energized by the power of God, they will be done in
vain. The Christian warrior knows this, and knows God stands ready to
provide all the power we need to achieve spiritual victory. Our power is
found in the promises of His Word and in the presence of His Spirit. Our job
is to access this power and fight the battle
